FAIR FEES POLICY

At Consult Mortgages we always aim to be fair in the way we charge our customers a fee for the work we agree to undertake.

This is in order to be able to maintain our ability to offer our customers a personalised and professional advice service.

Our fee is set at typically £395. This payment is for the time spent researching the market place, covering the administration process involved in submitting the application and plus for the work involved to ensure that you receive your mortgage offer from your lender.

In some circumstances we have been able to reduce our fee to £295. This reduced fee applies entirely on the level of administrative duties involved in obtaining your mortgage offer.

Where a fee is payable, full details will be provided to you and you will be given a copy of our Fee Agreement before you commit yourself to the mortgage.

Consult Mortgages are fully qualified in providing mortgage advice and are regulated by the Financial Services Authority through Mortgage Intelligence Limited.

Consult Mortgages is an Appointed Representative of Mortgage Intelligence Ltd. which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, under number 473697, in respect of mortgage and insurance mediation activities only.

Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

The initial mortgage consultation is FREE of charge, please make contact with us to discuss your needs, there is no obligation to proceed. For mortgages which complete we typically charge a fee of £395 plus we would retain the commission from the lender. The exact amount of fees payable will depend on your needs and circumstances, which will be discussed and agreed with you before an application is made. Alternatively, you can choose to pay by the fee only option which is typically 1% of the loan amount and any commission from the lender would be rebated to you. See our Fair Fees Policy.
